Warm Weather Update
Following the recent warmer weather, the Department for Education have issued updated guidelines to all schools with a list of permissible adaptations and to encourage schools to remain open. The main priority is obviously to keep students safe; we continue to encourage all students to bring a water bottle to school and stay hydrated throughout the day. Students may also wish to bring sunscreen to school for PE lessons and when enjoying the field at lunchtime.
In light of the predicted warmer weather this week, we are intending to adapt our summer uniform rules. Students will be allowed to wear their PE shorts until the end of term and we encourage families to purchase grey school shorts for future use. Students are still expected to wear their school shirts or summer polo shirts. This adaptation only applies from Wednesday 8th to Tuesday 14th July. As normal, students will be allowed to wear non-uniform from Wednesday 15th to Friday 17th July for their enrichment activities.
School will continue to operate normal opening hours until the end of term. I would like to remind parents and carers that, as usual at the end of term, we finish at 12:05pm for Years 9, 10 and 12 and 12:10pm for Years 7 and 8 on Friday 17th July.
